FRESNO. - The first-place Fresno Grizzlies return home to Chukchansi Park on Thursday, July 16th for a four-game series against the El Paso Chihuahuas and are celebrating by conducting the Holidays in July Drive, presented by The Salvation Army.

Any fan donating non-perishable food items (July 16), toys (July 17), coats (July 18), and/or clothes/shoes (July 19) will receive two complimentary Field Level Reserve tickets to any future Grizzlies home game. Fans can simply bring the featured donation item for that specific game with them through the Gate 2 entrance (off H Street) and hand it off to a designated Grizzlies staff member.

***The Fresno Grizzlies and The Salvation Army kindly ask that any donations be new or gently used items***

The promotions for the upcoming series don’t end there, as the Grizzlies will add some extra flavor by hosting the Tri-Tip Throwdown Round 2 at the Thursday, July 16th 7:05 PM game along the third-base concourse. This time around, the tri-tip matchup features Grill Masters BBQ against Maw n’ Paw BBQ.

“Everything about this season has been local, local, local,” stated Derek Franks, Fresno Grizzlies General Manager. “The second Tri-Tip Throwdown is another way for us to feature local businesses and provide added value to the ballpark experience.”

Grill Masters BBQ tri-tip is dry rubbed and slow smoked over almond wood, then thinly sliced and marinated in a beer battered au jus. Maw n’ Paw BBQ uses a family recipe that originates in Paducah, Kentucky. Their tri-tip recipe includes a mystery dry rub, which is then slow smoked and thinly sliced with a choice of five made-from-scratch BBQ sauces.

The July 16th game also includes the Tecate Thursday promotion, offering fans $2 24-ounce Tecate and Tecate Light through the end of the fifth inning and $1 12-ounce sodas all game long. General public gates open at 6:05 PM, with first pitch set for 7:05 PM.

Health and Wellness Night and Friday Night Fireworks - Friday, July 17 (Holidays in July Toy Drive)

If you ever wanted to try being the next American Ninja Warrior, the Grizzlies will have courses that fans can go through during the baseball game thanks to Team CenCal, The Factory, and XUX. The two courses, one for adults and another for kids, doesn’t involve the crazy elements you see on NBC, but it serves as a wonderful introduction to the type of challenges Ninjas face along their road to compete at the highest level. Postgame, everyone in the crowd will be treated to a fantastic fireworks show, courtesy of Golden State Farm Credit.

Nolan Ryan Replica Retro Jersey Giveaway - Saturday, July 18 (Holidays in July Coat Drive)

The Saturday, July 18th home game against the El Paso Chihuahuas will have the Grizzlies throwing it back on the field by wearing Tequila Sunrise theme jerseys, much similar to the retro garbs the Houston Astros wore from 1975-86. The game-worn jerseys with “GRIZZ” across the chest will be available for purchase in a silent auction during the game, but fans also have the opportunity to take home more! The first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a Nolan Ryan replica retro jersey, courtesy of A-Plus Signs and ABC30. Want to avoid the giveaway line? Act now by purchasing a $34 Nolan Ryan Package (click the Field Level Reserve button) that includes two Field Level Reserve tickets to the game and two Nolan Ryan replica jerseys (size XL). Hurry as packages are limited!

Ryan, who currently serves as the Astros Executive Advisor, was a 1999 inductee into the Baseball Hall of Fame after putting together a 27-year playing career that included eight All-Star nods and one World Series Championship. Eleven times he led the league in strikeouts and twice was the National League ERA leader. His No. 34 is retired by the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers, while his No. 30 is retired by the Los Angeles Angels.

Parker’s Birthday Party - Sunday, July 19 (Holidays in July Shoes/Clothes Drive)

Come celebrate Parker’s ninth birthday on Save Mart Sunday at Chukchansi Park! The first 1,500 fans through the gates receive a one-of-a-kind Parker drawstring bag, courtesy of California Highway Patrol (CHP). The lovable Parker is inviting some of his furriest of friends to the ballpark to take part in the fun, including minor league favorites KaBoom (Lancaster), Thunder (Lake Elsinore) and Dinger (Sacramento), while Chipper (CHP), Lois Prices (Downtown Grocery Outlet), and Scorcher (Fresno Fuego) also make appearances.

Family Catch on the Field for the Sunday home game takes place at 5:05 PM (enter on the right field side of the stands), as well as a pregame Future Astros autograph session. Postgame, all kids in attendance have the opportunity to run the bases, courtesy of Sun-Maid.
