CHOWCHILLA - The mighty Redskins of Chowchilla Union High made history Saturday night when they entered Henry Massaro Stadium at Chowchilla High School. They were the first team in school history to battle for a CIF State Championship in Football.

In a game that was largely a battle of flawless defense's on both sides came down to the longest 2:30 minutes of football in Chowchilla's history. When all was said and done a slip in the mud with no more time outs ended the Redskin's season and gave Manteca's Sierra High School the state championship for Division IV-A 20-15.
