FRESNO  - The 2016 Spring Showcase for the Fresno State football team is being held Saturday, April 2 and Bulldog Athletics has many entertaining attractions that day to accompany the football team’s last hurrah of spring ball. From the chance to win free season tickets, to a free kids clinic on the field with Bulldog football players, a BBQ and the return of the Bulldog Yard Sale, it all will be happening at Bulldog Stadium.

"It has been an exciting and energetic spring for us and we value every opportunity we get to be out on the field," head coach Tim DeRuyter said. "We would love for the Red Wave to come out and join us in Bulldog Stadium on Saturday. We really feel they will love the product they see out on the field and how hard this team plays. The weather is supposed to be outstanding, we'll have a free kids clinic and I personally would like to see some fans show off their arms and win their season tickets in our throw-to-win contest."

The fun surrounds the main event of the Fresno State football team holding its final scrimmage of spring ball from 10:30-12:30.

Admission in to Bulldog Stadium is free as is parking in the Red Lot that is due east of Bulldog Stadium off of Cedar Avenue. Handicap parking will be available in the Blue Lot on the south side of the stadium at the main gate. Fresno State will have carts available to shuttle folks from the Red Lot to the stadium entrance.

Bulldog Yard Sale
Calling all Bulldog supporters, athletic enthusiasts, memorabilia collectors and bargain shoppers, it's time for the return of the Bulldog Yard Sale! TimeOut has been busy with spring cleaning, tidying up the Dog House to get rid of the old and make room for the new. New Fresno State gear that is.

The Athletic Department will be liquidating its excess uniforms, polo shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, sweatpants, pullovers, equipment and more. Sizes range from women's size extra small all the way to men's size 4XL. Some items are new and some gently used. There will be over 8,000 pieces to choose from at the various price points of $5, $10, $15, $20 and $25 (cash and credit cards only).

The Yard Sale will be held in the Blue Lot on the south side of Bulldog Stadium from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Kids Clinic with the Bulldog Football Team
When the scrimmage is complete (at roughly 12:30 p.m.), there will be stations set up on the field for kids eighth grade or younger to do fun football drills with the players and coaches. Participants will develop football skills in a fun, safe and enjoyable atmosphere. There will be stations teaching the fundamentals of form tackling, running, ball skills and blocking. All participants will be instructed by the Bulldog coaching staff and players.

Any fan who has purchased or renewed 2016 season tickets, put down a donation towards their tickets or Red Wavers that put a donation down at Saturday’s Spring Showcase will be invited on to Jim Sweeney Field for the opportunity to win those seats for free.

The game is simple - throw to win. Participating season ticket holders will stand at the hash mark on the five yard line and be allotted one throw towards a trash can in the corner of the end zone – the same drill Bulldog quarterbacks partake in to work on throwing accuracy. Any fan who makes it in the trash can will win get their season tickets for free (one throw per contestant).

Breakfast Burritos and BBQ
Pardini's, Fresno State's concessionaire, will have concessions open throughout the day at Bulldog Stadium. They will open at 8 a.m. selling breakfast burritos while the Bulldog Yard Sale takes place. As the day moves along, they’ll switch to opening up their BBQ grill during the scrimmage all the way into the early afternoon.

ESPN Radio
940 AM ESPN Radio, Fresno State official flagship radio station, will broadcast the Spring Showcase live. Coverage with `Voice of the Bulldogs’ Paul Loeffler and former Bulldog and NFL safety Cameron Worrell begins at 10 a.m.
