MADERA - Madera Auto Center, an automotive dealership specializing in new Chevrolet, Toyota and pre-owned vehicle sales and service, announced the exciting return of their Trucks of Hope: Holiday Toy & Food Drive. This year, the program aims to benefit Valley Children’s Hospital and Madera County Food Bank.

From now until December 22nd, MAC invites everyone to proudly join them in lighting up a life and will be collecting toys for children of all age groups and food items. With the donation of a new, unwrapped toy or non-perishable food with a minimum $10 value, anyone who donates will receive a $20 voucher good towards a future service visit, installed accessory or complimentary wheel alignment check.

Their showroom is set for this meaningful holiday cause with decorated trucks more than ready to haul gifts and goods. Additionally, MAC will gladly accept new, unworn pajamas or warm weather clothing for children and teens. Together with Madera Chevrolet and Madera Toyota, the MAC staff will personally deliver all donated toys and food to Valley Children’s Hospital and Madera County Food Bank.

“We want to be able to show the community that we care for them as much as they care for us. Without the community’s support, we have nothing. Absolutely nothing. They have supported us for years, and we can't thank them enough,” Lela Mayfohrt, Customer Relations Manager of Madera Auto Center emphasizes. “This is what this dealership is about. We are about families and the community. If we can help families and the children at Valley Children’s Hospital spend the holidays better, we are going to help.”

For over the past decade, the dealership has built a longstanding relationship with Valley Children’s Hospital and the local community in multiple ways. The toy and food drive event is part of MAC’s ongoing community involvement and social responsibility. On December 1st, MAC participated in the Madera Candlelight Christmas Parade and passed out candy canes to children with their crowd pleasing Frozen themed float pulled by a 2016 Chevy Silverado reindeer. For the upcoming 50th Anniversary World Ag Expo in February 2017, which will be hosted in Tulare, California,

MAC has already launched $5 donation per raffle ticket sales for the world famous Toyota Tundra Giveaway. Earlier this year, the winning ticket that went to a local customer was sold by Madera Toyota on behalf of Madera Auto Center with total proceeds of $45,000 from all sources going to the Guilds of Valley Children’s Hospital.
