LAS VEGAS -- Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Executive Director Dan Hanneke announced Wednesday that the Dec. 21 game is sold out. No. 20 Fresno State, champions of the Mountain West, will face No. 25 USC of the Pac-12 Conference on Saturday at Sam Boyd Stadium. Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. PT and the game will be televised by ABC.

This marks the seventh time in the last nine years the game has sold out (2005-10 and now 2013). “We are excited to report that all tickets on sale to the public are now gone,” Hanneke said. “We knew we had a dynamite matchup and we expect a lot of people across the country will also be watching our game Saturday on ABC. I want to thank our staff and the executive committee for all of their hard work in getting us sold out. We also want to thank all the fans in Southern Nevada as well as those traveling to Las Vegas this week to watch the Trojans take on the Bulldogs. It should be a great one.”

FRESNO - After a heart-breaking lost to San Jose State last week that ended Fresno State's perfect season, the Bulldogs came home Saturday night and did not disappoint their loyal fans. In front of 31,000 very chilly fans, the Dogs accomplished something they haven't done since 1989 in the Big West, won an outright conference championship.

This was also the first back to back conference championships since the 1992 and 1993 seasons. Because the Mountain West standings used to be decided strictly by game stats, last year ended with a three-way shared conference championship: Fresno State, San Diego State and Boise.
