FRESNO - In one of the most thrilling finishes imaginable - especially on the first day of the college basketball season, Bulldogs' senior guard Allen Huddleston delivered the epic 40-foot 3-pointer from half court at the overtime buzzer that lifted Fresno State past UC Irvine 98-87 on Friday night at the Bren Events Center.

The game-winner - which was featured as the top story on ESPN's 11 p.m. PT Sportscenter telecast - was the fifth lead change in the final minute of overtime of a game. MADERA - Friday night at Memorial Stadium the Bullard High School Knights ran over the Madera High Coyotes for a dominating 52-21 victory. Bullard rushed the ball 31 times for 409 yards and completed six passes for 100 yards as the Coyotes surrender over 400 yards in total offense for the fourth straight week. While the defense struggled to stop the Knights, the offense continued its year long struggle as they were limited to 311 yards of total offense.

Bullard scored on its first play from scrimmage on a 78 yard touchdown run, then had consecutive drives stopped by the Coyote defense. Unfortunately, like Edison did last week, Bullard made the necessary adjustments and proceeded to score touchdowns at brake neck speed on offense and defense.
