Merced PD Investigating Double Robbery Print

Merced - Police investigated two armed robberies in the south Merced area today. The first robbery occurred at the recycling center next to the Best Buy Market. In the first robbery the suspect was described as a black male adult wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a bandana covering his face along with dark sunglasses.

The suspect brandished a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk than give the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the area on foot.

The second robbery occurred approximately 16 minutes later at Jessie’s Market located in the 100-BLK of East 13th Street. In this robbery the suspect entered the store with a handgun and demanded money. The clerk handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money.

After getting the money both suspects fled on foot, no vehicle seen. There was a second suspect who was standing by the door acting as a look out.

No one was injured in any of the robberies.
