FRESNO - On Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at 12:08 PM, officers were dispatched to Easterby School in the city of Fresno, regarding two second graders that were shot at with a BB gun. Upon arrival, officers contacted two male second graders in the administration office of Easterby.

The second graders were walking on the south side of the campus, near the administration office, when a suspect on the south side of Tulare Street shot at them with a BB gun. One of the second graders saw the suspect remove the BB gun from his trouser pocket and point it at them. The suspect then fired the BB gun and struck the other second grader in the upper body.

The victim that was struck by the BB felt a sting from getting struck with the bb projectile. The victim that was struck did not see the suspect fire the BB gun. The other second-grader witnessed the suspect fire the BB gun. After shooting at the victims, the suspect calmly put the BB gun back in his trouser pocket and walked eastbound on the southside of Tulare Street.

Numerous officers canvassed the area for the suspect but could not locate him. The second graders described the suspect as being a white male approximately 18 years of age, of medium build and height. The suspect was last seen wearing a blue shirt and black jeans. One of the second graders stated that the suspect had a tattoo of a skull with flames on one of his upper arms.

Officers are continuing to investigate this case and are searching for this suspect. Anyone in the community that knows the identity of this suspect is encouraged to call crimestoppers at 498 – STOP. If an arrest is made the caller will receive a cash award and will remain anonymous.
