RP 10 Year Olds Out - Madera National and River Park Hold On at State Tournament Print

Danville, CA – The River Park 10 year old All Star Team is out of the state Little League tournament in Danville, California while their 11 year old team and the 12 year old team from Madera National Little League were able to hold off elimination for one more day.

In the minors, the 10 year old team from Fresno’s River Park Little League was eliminated Monday after it's second straight loss in their double elimination tournament in Danville.

The eleven year old All Stars from River Park won their first game in Folsom, California against Sutter Buttes 12-2. Their next game didn’t turn out as well.  The team from Petaluma Little League ran up the runs in a 13-3 loss.

River Park beat the boys from Quito Little League 4-1 Monday in the loser’s bracket. They face Tri-Valley Little League tonight and must win their next three straight games to make it to the championship game on Friday.

The Madera National 12 year old team beat Tassajara Little League Monday night 7-5 in the lossers bracket. Tonight they face the Lakeside Little League and must win their next two games to make it to their championship best of two series in Chico, California on Thursday and Friday nights. 

All three tournaments will come to an end Friday and Saturday. The winner of the twelve year old tournament in Chico will advance to the Western Regional Tournament in San Bernardino, California. The winner of that tournament advances to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
