Madera's American Little League swept the 2008 City Championship Saturday night at Town & Country Park for the second straight year. In the first game the minor league Ochoa's took a commanding lead over the National League's Evening Lions. In the ends the Evening Lions bats were nearly silenced in their 12-3 defeat.

In the majors Lee's Concrete appeared in their fourth straight City Championship game, winning their third straight city title. This year was a rematch to last years city game with the National League's Pete's Sport Shop attempting to end Lee's dynasty and claim the city title for themselves.

Scott Roberts for Pete's and Sal Martinez for Lee's took to the mound for a classic pitchers duel. Robert's only allowed three hits and one walk, striking out 11 batters in five innings. Martinez threw for five and a third innings allowing three hits, one walk and no runs.

All four teams advance to the Little League District 10 Tournament of Champions. Madera National will face the teams from the northern end of the district while Madera American will head to the southern end of the district. Pete's & Evening Lions will face Chowchilla tomorrow night. Lee's Concrete & Ochoa's will travel to Selma.
