Britney Rocks & Shocks Fresno
She's Not For the Innocent Anymore

Photos by Jack Porter, Jr.

Fresno - She definitely not for the innocent anymore. In fact many mothers, with their preteens in tow, left the Britney Spears show at Fresno's Save Mart Center within the first half hour.

For those that stayed, the 22 year-old former most famous virgin from Kentwood, Louisiana (Pop 1200) pushed the limits with nine costume changes. One costume change was a nude shear bodysuit while Britney bathed in a jumbo Champaign glass with blue water (my favorite).

Another Britney change was a high cut short with a see through top. While wearing this outfit, Ms. Spears made out with a half naked guy to the delight of the sold out crowd of over 12,000.

Spears, who was escorted into and out of the Fresno State area with a two motorcycle CHP escort, brought more trucks and buses than a large circus. The parking lot near the Larry Shehadey clock tower was filled with more limos than a Clovis West prom.

Front row seats to the hour and a half show went for as high as $500 a piece ($5.55 a minute), with arena level seats selling on the black market for $200. T-shirts sold for $35 and programs $25. Lucky for many that the Save Mart Center has ATM's conveniently located through-out the concourse.

Next for Britney is Las Vegas and five more months of touring. Her Onyx Hotel tour ends in August in Selma, Texas. Next for the Save Mart Center is heavy metal band Metallica with Godsmack. Tickets start at $56.50 or $76.50 for floor general admission seats. Tickets are available at the box office or from Ticketmaster.com.
